EFT - Emotional Freedom Technique
Sometimes called the psychological version of acupuncture, in that it involves making contact with a number of acupuncture points, uses a series of words and movement to ease blockages and discomfort. Usually this is by tapping on these points, while you focus on a specific feeling, thought or image. The specific points to tap are the end-points of the major meridians (meridians are believed to be channels of subtle energy which flow through our body).
This is a very effective therapy for those not wanting to use Hypnotherapy.
Hypnotherapy
Hypnotherapy is a form of therapy that uses the power of suggestion to encourage positive change. The use of relaxation techniques helps you to reach a state where the conscious part of your mind is relaxed and your subconscious part is more open to suggestion.
This form of therapy is very effective and is used for a vast array of ailments.
Reiki
Reiki and you.
A Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing is called REIKI. It is administered by "laying on hands" and is based on the idea that an unseen "life force energy" flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. If one's "life force energy" is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy.
The word Reiki is made of two Japanese words - Rei which means "God's Wisdom or the Higher Power" and Ki which is "life force energy". So Reiki is actually "spiritually guided life force energy."
